My community involvement spans public safety, disaster response, civic engagement, and veteran advocacy. Over the years, I have served on local committees, represented community voices in education, led high-impact civic projects, and volunteered on the front lines of emergency response. These roles reflect my ongoing commitment to protecting lives, strengthening communities, and fostering positive change through both leadership and hands-on service.

Veterans Trust Fund Grant Committee Member

Serve on the committee responsible for reviewing and recommending funding allocations from the Colorado Veterans Trust Fund, which is administered by the Colorado Board of Veterans Affairs. Help ensure that grant resources are directed toward Colorado veterans in need of material or financial assistance, supporting initiatives that improve quality of life for those who have served.

Parent Sounding Board

Serve as a community participant in the district’s Parent Sounding Board, fostering open communication between parents, the superintendent, and the Board of Education. Provide feedback on school-related issues, policies, and community concerns, acting as a link between district leadership and local families.

Pratt Park Named “America’s Favorite Park”

Worked closely with the City of Prattville and the mayor’s office, I helped lead community collaboration and social media efforts that rallied local and national support for Pratt Park in Coca-Cola’s “America’s Favorite Park” competition. Our coordinated actions, from online voting drives to awareness events, built unprecedented engagement. The result: Pratt Park took first place nationwide, earning the $100,000 prize. The city used the grant to install a splash pad, fulfilling a promise to enhance the park for families and visitors for years to come.

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) – Volunteer Member

Supported disaster preparedness and response activities, including search and rescue, disaster medical operations, and community education. Assisted in large-scale emergency drills, worked alongside first responders during incidents, and promoted public awareness on safety and disaster readiness.
